Certification bodies

The credential is the record, not a certificate somebody filed.

A certificant's whole history sits on one record: what they earned, when it expires, what they have done to keep it and what is still outstanding. Continuing education records as it is completed, the transcript comes out of what is already there, and recertification reads as a state on the record rather than a project somebody runs each cycle. Nobody has to reconstruct a candidate's standing from four spreadsheets.

Hold the credential as a dated state

  • Credential status
  • Expiry
  • Recertification
  • Reinstatement
  • Audit trail

Earned, current, expiring, lapsed and reinstated are states on one continuous record with dates attached, so a credential's whole history reads in order. When somebody asks whether a certificant was in good standing in a given month, that is a question with an answer rather than an investigation.

Record the credit, produce the transcript

  • CE credit
  • Credit types
  • Transcripts
  • Completion
  • Board evidence

Credit is recorded against the certificant as it is earned, from a course, a session at your conference, or something they did elsewhere and submitted. The transcript is produced from what is already there, in the format the review actually needs.
